Travel PR refers to those within the PR industry that specialise in promoting particular destinations or experiences to potential tourists.
While much of the focus is on selling a destination or an experience to specialist travel writers, advising a client can also extend to responding to events such as natural disasters, terrorist attacks, disease outbreaks or political upheaval. Travel PR specialists often draw upon individuals from other public relations practice areas elsewhere within their company for assistance with crisis management, investor relations or issues management.
