Training & Development Corporation (TDC) "is a national not-for-profit think tank, design shop, and management company founded in 1975 to improve the performance of people and institutions in the economy.

"Today, TDC’s work is animated by two ideas: sustainable employability and global community capitalism." [1]

"TDC staff and partners are engaged in a number of publication projects, including co-authorship by Charles Tetro (president and CEO, TDC) and Etta Kralovek of an book on enterprise-based learning, and an upcoming online publication.

Among our objectives is to keep our own staff informed of new designs and new ways of approaching our work in improving the performance of people and institutions in the economy. In this capacity, we place strong emphasis on making published works available to our staff, maintaining an extensive library of relevant works at our corporate offices, and distributing copies of key publications such as Michael Shuman's Going Local and The Small-Mart Revolution, and Alfie Kohn's Beyond Discipline." [2]

Small-Mart

"Small-Mart is a project of Training & Development Corporation (TDC), a nonprofit based in Maine. We work closely with the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE), Food Routes Network, the Henry Wallace Center of Winrock International, and many other organizations. It is funded through grants from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and through the generous support of users like you." [3]
