"With a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Stanford and a Juris Doctorate from Harvard University, Mr. Sayles comes to Rentech with over 28 years of experience in communications, governmental affairs and law. Since 1994, Mr. Sayles served as Vice President, Government and Community Affairs for San Diego, California based Sempra Energy. Prior to joining Sempra Energy, he served as California's Secretary of Business Transportation and Housing and as a member of the cabinet of California Governor Pete Wilson. In that position, he managed numerous state departments, including the Department of Transportation, with a budget in excess of $7 billion and approximately 40,000 employees."
