"During her 37-year career with the United Nations, Thérèse Gastaut held a number of senior positions in the field of public information.
"From 1992 to 1996 , she was the spokeswoman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali, based in Geneva. In 1995, she was the spokeswoman of the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing. From 1999 until her retirement from the United Nations in 2004, Ms Gastaut was the Director of Strategic Communications of the UN Department of Public Information in New York.
"She holds a diploma from the Institute of Political Sciences from Paris and a Masters Degree from the School of International Affairs at Columbia University , New York . In 2005, she was appointed Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur by a decree from the President of France. She is a professor of strategic communications at the Centre of diplomatic and strategic studies in Paris"." [1]
