The Whitehall & Industry Group
The Whitehall & Industry Group (WIG) is a non-profit lobbying firm that describes itself as building "understanding and co-operation between government and business." [1]
WIG describes its activities as "people exchange opportunities, events & networks and leadership programmes, all designed to help our member organisations build practical understanding of, and co-operation" between industry and government. [2]
In late 2004, WIG coordinated the recruitment of a "Head of Marketing" for the UK National Identity Cards Scheme, with candidates for the position being invited to "complete the electronic application form available on the WIG website." [3]
