The Mother's Service Society
"The Mother's Service Society was founded in 1969 in Pondicherry, South India, with a view to studying and applying the basic laws of human development based on the theory of creation and evolution of consciousness propounded by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother." [1]
"MSS Research is the social science research division of The Mother’s Service Society, a non-profit organization established in Pondicherry, India in 1970. The activities of the Society are inspired by the integral philosophy of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother and organized to extend and apply their vision in different fields of life. "The Society’s objectives include a wide range of educational and research activities in the field of socio-economic development. MSS also operates Primrose School, an experimental school for primary and secondary education affiliated to Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, an education board established by Cambridge University. "The Society is approved as a tax-exempt educational institution under section 10 (23C) (vi) of the Income Tax Act and as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Government of India. Donations for research purposes qualify for 100% donor tax exemption under section 35(1) (iii) of the Indian income Tax Act. MSS is also registered as a charitable educational organization under section 12 AA(b) and approved for donor tax exemption under section 80G(5)(vi)." [1]
"MSS is an official international center of the World Academy of Art & Science collaborating with the Academy on research projects and publishing activities related to economics, social development, international security and global governance.
"MSS is also a Charter Member of the World University Consortium, WUC, an initiative of leading international non-governmental organizations to design a global system of higher education relevant to the emerging needs of the 21st century." [2]
