The Conservative Convention 2007 (CC2007) website will be used to "provide supporters of the proposed 2007 CONSERVATIVE CONVENTION with a forum for the discussion and planning of that event" and a "space" to "update all interested parties on the progress of the CC2007 project, provide contact information for its principle participants, and generally promote the idea on the WorldWideWeb," "humble webmaster and host" Edward L. Daley states on the CC2007 website.

Proposed Convention

CC2007 is proposed as "an alternative to the next Republican convention, one which is composed entirely of genuine right-wing politicians, activists, authors, and public figures who understand that our government has become far too large, bureaucratic and inefficient of late, and who appreciate the fact that the insidious mental disease know as political correctness has reached epidemic proportions in Washington DC," its website states.

Daley believes "that the modern Republican party needs a wake-up call from it's [sic] conservative base before the next Presidential election, or we may well lose the White House to the Democrat party in 2008, and be forced to suffer the consequences of at least four years of mind-numbing leftist policies thereafter. I don't think I need to explain to any of you just how detrimental to the United States another Clinton administration would be," Daley writes, "especially at a time in our history when we face some of the most dangerous threats ever to our national security from forces both external and internal."

Board of Directors

The listed Board of Directors for CC2007 includes:

"Notice: It is the policy of this organization to deny anyone who is a candidate for any Statewide or National public office (such as Governor, Congressman, Senator, etc.) a position as one of its officers, due to potential conflicts of interest."
