Dr. Thabet Abu Ras "Received a B.S.C in Geology and Mineralogy from Ben-Gurion University in 1982, an M.A in Geography from University of Northern Iowa (USA) in 1992, and a Ph.D. in Geography and Regional Development from the University of Arizona (USA) in 1997. Lecturer in the Dept. of Geography and Environmental Development at Ben-Gurion University, with a research focus on local governance, ethnic relations, land and planning, and regional development. Currently works as the Director of "Together": The Arab-Jewish Center for Dialogue and Shared Society. Former director of Shatil’s office in Beer el–Sabe, and of a New Israel Fund-Joint Distribution Committee project for the development of the recently-recognized Bedouin villages in the Naqab. Joined Adalah’s Board in 2005." [1]
