Biographical Information
"Downing joined Shed Media from international media production and IP owner Chorion, where he was Group CFO for over five years. Whilst at Chorion, he concluded the company’s ongoing M&A activity and took full responsibility for Finance, Business Development, HR, IT, Legal and Administration. Before leaving the business, Downing was a key member of the small management team that oversaw the break up and brand sell off on behalf of Chorion’s senior lenders and major shareholder, the private equity company 3i Group PLC.
"Terry has over 20 years of experience in the UK’s media industry and has been in CFO roles for the last 17 years. Prior to Chorion, he was Group CFO at Ascent Media Group.
"The move to Shed Media sees Downing join the Time Warner family once more having previously spent time at Turner Broadcasting (a Time Warner company). During his nine years at the company, Terry acted as CFO of the entertainment division and later, as Co-European CFO within its group division.
"In his role at Shed Media, Downing joins CEO Nick Southgate on the company’s board. As CFO, he leads the Group’s existing financial team and plays a key role in the business’ ongoing growth and acquisition strategy."[1]
