"Temple Lodge Publishing is an independent publishing company and registered charity. Our editorial brief is to publish books that further spiritual science, or anthroposophy, as founded by the Austrian thinker Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925). Some of our books are for general readers while others are more specialist, building on core concepts of anthroposophy.

"Temple Lodge Publishing was founded as "Temple Lodge Press" at the Temple Lodge Christian Community Centre in Hammersmith, London, by Bert Capel in the 1970s. At that time it was an in-house printing and publishing facility, initially set-up to publish the books of the late Evelyn Capel. This phase came to an end in 1986 with Bert's death. The publishing at Temple Lodge was brought to life again in 1987 by John Lees. Sevak Gulbekian succeeded him in 1990, and continues as Chief Editor up to the present. The company was relaunched as Temple Lodge Publishing Ltd in 1994, and moved away from its London base to Forest Row, Sussex, in 2001. It remains an independent company and charity." [1]
