Tamara Al-Om General Assistant of the Mideast Youth Foundation.

"Having spent a great deal of her life in the Arab world, Tamara has experienced firsthand the issues that are detrimental to its progress just as she has experienced its greatest strengths. It has been a constant battle to reconcile her own feelings of devotion to and frustration with the Arab world. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Middle Eastern Political Thought at the University of Exeter and devotes her time to reading, writing and thinking about the interaction of power, of histories, of nations and of people - specifically relating to the Middle East."
