Jackgreen beats other electricity suppliers in GreenPower price war

In a survey of GreenPower prices charged by electricity companies in NSW, Jackgreen Ltd has topped the rankings in all four categories.

Overseen by Planet Ark and published by The Sunday Telegraph, the survey compared the prices charged for products containing 10%, 25%, 50% and 100% GreenPower electricity. Jackgreen topped the table in all sections.

“By selling GreenPower at the cheapest possible price, we are aiming to maximise the number of people in NSW who sign up to GreenPower programs,” said Andrew Randall, the Managing Director of Jackgreen. “At the moment, NSW is falling behind other States on this front and we intend to change that.”

“If we are to be serious about fighting climate change, then all electricity companies need to make accredited GreenPower more available to its customers.”

GreenPower is renewable energy that is accredited by DEUS the NSW Government authority.

“We are now offering 100% accredited GreenPower to customers in NSW and Victoria for only $4 extra per week – this is far cheaper than some of our competitors and it’s currently the cheapest price available for 100% GreenPower,” said Randall. “But for people who cannot afford to pay extra for GreenPower, we also offer a 10% accredited GreenPower product that costs no more than the standard electricity tariff – we call it ‘JackgreenPower 10%.”

Unlike other retailers, Jackgreen does not own carbon based power generators or sell black energy that pollutes the environment. The company only sells renewable energy.

Listed on the ASX as JGL, Jackgreen is licensed to sell electricity in NSW, VIC and SA and has applied for a licence in Queensland.
