An entry contains the following characterization of Alfred French's comments relating to the veracity of his affidavit...(highlight mine)

French, a prosecutor for the district attorney's office in Clackamas County, Oregon, subsequently admitted in an interview with his local newspaper that he did not witness the events in question and was relying on the accounts of other anti-Kerry veterans. [2]

This characterization of Mr. French's comment is false in that it suggests to a reader that Mr. French was, somehow, compelled to correct or amend his sworn affidavit by some new evidence or subsequent re-interpretation of his affidavit. This is clearly not the case and Mr. French made no such amendment.

Based on allegations questioning the veracity of Mr. French's affidavit, the question was considered by the State Bar Association who "rejected claims that French lied in his anti-Kerry affidavit":

I have amended the above referenced entry and added the additional information which reflects the outcome of the State Bar inquiry.

An entry contains the following with an expired link...
As French's own credibility came under intense scrutiny, he admitted that he had lied to his boss when confronted about an extramarital affair with a secretary and was placed on 30-day paid leave pending an investigation into his conduct. [2]
I have edited the entry to both note the expired link and the results of the aforementioned investigation. I also added a link to the "External Links" section.

A story linked in this entry references an allegation of improper use of government equipment and services. I have made an entry and provided a link noting both the allegation and the finding...

As to an allegation, referenced in the above story, that Mr. French had improperly "used an office computer to compose and print a draft of his affidavit and that an office sercretary (sic) notarized it" [3], "...the state's Elections Division decided he didn't break the law by using publicly owned equipment to prepare an affidavit..."
