Getting Drug Company Funding

In April 2008 Hodgkinson told an inquiry into a New South Wales hospital system that she had successfully gained A$20,000 from a drug company to fund an administrative assistant to help her with clinical trials. "I considered I had insufficient clerical support and so as to try and remedy that I approached a company to help me with that on a temporary, part-time basis ... This was just a very discrete example, so I have other examples as well. Quite a few senior doctors do try to raise money to help with the provision of services". Hodgkinson would not name the drug company.[1]
