Susanne Trimbath

Susanne Trimbath, Ph.D., is CEO and chief economist for STP Advisory Services, LLC, a total woman-owned small business located in Nebraska, serving national and international clients. STP specializes in community economic development and securities litigation consulting. Since 2003 she has served as a Technical Advisor to the California Economic Strategy Panel. In 2009 she was named Contributing Editor at NewGeography.com and Senior Advisor for the Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. At BCLC. Dr. Trimbath provides advisory services on community economic development, emerging capital markets, and financial innovations.

Dr. Trimbath has authored, edited or contributed chapters to five books, including Mergers and Efficiency (2002), Beyond Junk Bonds (2003), and Methodological Issues in Accounting Research (2006). Her credits include appearances on national television and radio programs (CNBC's Power Lunch and NPR's Marketplace) and the Emmy® Award-nominated Bloomberg report Phantom Shares. Her articles appear in the national publications US Banker, The International Economy, The American Enterprise, and The Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor, in addition to academic, peer-reviewed journals. She is a featured speaker for industry, government, academic and international events.

Dr. Trimbath served as a member of the board of Directors for People in Progress, a Los Angeles-based organization providing services to the homeless population (including support for drug and alcohol intervention and treatment, housing and job training).

She served as a guest lecturer at the Egyptian Central Bank for a course on small businesses and bank reinvestment in community. Dr. Trimbath is a Technical Advisor to the California Economic Strategy Panel. Currently, she is contributing editor for NewGeography.com

Dr. Trimbath received her Ph.D. in economics from New York University. In addition, she has 20 years of corporate management experience in operations, with responsibilities for staff management. Her corporate experience includes Depository Trust Company (New York), Pacific Clearing Corporation (San Francisco) and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

She has been teaching economics and finance since 1989, as an adjunct or associate professor for New York University and University of Southern California (Marshall School of Business).
