Susan Sheybani
Susan Sheybani is an assistant to Terry Holt, who is the national spokesman for the Bush reelection campaign.
Sheybani studied political science at UCLA. In September 2000, during the fourth year of her course, she wrote an article titled "Women have finally achieved equality at college level", which argued for an end to affirmative action for women in education [1].
In 2001, Sheybani worked for the then House Majority Leader, Richard Armey, according to a page which records her participation in a Washington DC beauty pageant [2].
Susan Sheybani is listed on an undated page of the UCLA Center for American Politics and Public Policy as having done an internship at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC [3].
Susan Sheybani says 'Let them eat Prozac'
In late July 2004, whilst working for the Bush campaign, Sheybani was overheard by a reporter discussing the plight of workers in low quality jobs. Her prescription was blunt, and not exactly compassionate. Sheybani said "Why don't they get new jobs if they're unhappy -- or go on Prozac?". When told the Prozac comment had been overheard by a reporter, Sheybani said: "Oh, I was just kidding." [4]
