Susan J. Schurman "is President of the National Labor College. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Higher, Adult and Continuing Education. From 1992 to 1997 she was Director of Labor Extension Programs and Associate Professor of Labor Studies in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers – The State University of New Jersey. Prior to that she directed the Labor Studies Center at the University of Michigan where she was also a Research Investigator in the School of Public Health. She is a former nonprofit executive as well as a former local union president." [1]
She is a trustee of the Solidarity Center.
