Sunanda Deshapriya "serves on the Board of Directors at the Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA) and heads the media unit of CPA. He was a founding member of the Movement for Interracial Justice and Equality in 1979 and the Movement for the Defense of Democratic Rights in 1981. Mr. Deshapriya was a founding member of the Free Media Movement in 1991, and has functioned as the convenor since 2000. He is also a member of the Editors Guild of Sri Lanka. Mr. Deshapriya is currently the editor of the monthly magazine Balaya, a magazine covering sociopolitical and economic issues." [1]
