Biographical Information
"Stuart Robinowitz is a senior attorney at Paul Weiss. He has represented some of the nation's leading companies in the communications, media and entertainment industries, including the major motion picture studios, cable televisions firms, television networks, publishers, record and home video companies, and high-technology firms. He has also represented major industrial and consumer-product firms and trade associations. His experience covers antitrust, communications, intellectual property, advertising, free speech and defamation law. He has also handled significant matters in other fields of law ranging from tax disputes, aviation law, securities litigation, and EC competition matters. He represented high tech firms here and abroad in matters involving establishing industry-wide technology standards and patent pooling. He achieved victories in a series of high-profile litigations, including a $1 billion victory for the motion picture industry against the television networks in an industry-wide investment tax credit case.
"Mr. Robinowitz served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal and for almost a decade as an adjunct faculty member at Yale Law School and New York University School of Law. He has also lectured at Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Mr. Robinowitz has undertaken human-rights missions for the American Bar Association and Helsinki Watch in Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and El Salvador, and has served on the board of Human Rights Watch."
