Steven N. Teplitz
Steven Teplitz, in 1999 he was promoted to Senior Director, Telecommunications Policy, at America Online. He "will continue to report to George Vradenburg. Teplitz will continue to lead AOL's efforts in all telecommunications matters. Teplitz joined AOL in November, 1997 as Senior Counsel. Prior to AOL, Mr. Teplitz served as an attorney in the Policy Division of the Federal Communications Commission's Common Carrier Bureau, where he was involved in various aspects of implementing the local competition provisions of the 1996 Telecommunications Act. Earlier, Teplitz worked as an attorney in private practice representing wireless telecommunications carriers, and was legislative and general counsel to the National Telecommuting and Telework Association. He also served as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Conrad Burns (R-MT). Teplitz is an honors graduate of Colby College, and he received his J.D. from the George Washington University National Law Center." [1]
