Biographical Information

Steve Antwi-Asimeng, Independent, Senior Partner Fidelity Ghana

"Steve has over twenty-two (22) years of working experience including 10 years in venture capital and private equity. He led the re-organization of Fidelity that resulted in its new focus as a professional PE management company, helping it to become a leading SME PE firm in West Africa and increasing its assets under management from US$4.0million to US$32.0million between 2003 and 2007. He is responsible for key negotiations with project sponsors and investee companies and represents Fidelity on several boards. Steve has participated and led several missions to undertake due diligence reviews of companies in Sub-Saharan African countries including Ghana, Cote d’Iviore, Nigeria, Zambia, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

"Steve has also led several teams in several investment banking transactions in Ghana in various sectors including telecoms, banking & financial services and beverages. Steve is a former member of the board of directors of the African Venture Capital Association. He holds a Master of Arts degree in banking and finance from the University of Wales, U.K and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ghana." [1]
