Stephen Sedgwick
Stephen Sedgwick is the Director of the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne.
"A former Secretary of the Department of Education, Science and Training, Professor Sedgwick has had a wide range of experience in the Australian public service, including as Secretary of the Department of Employment, Education, Training and Youth Affairs, Secretary of the Department of Finance and in senior positions with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
"In 2002, he was appointed as a Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila where he was responsible for representing a constituency of countries within the ADB, the members of which are: Australia; Azerbaijan; Cambodia; Hong Kong, China; Kiribati; the Federated States of Micronesia; Nauru; Palau; Solomon Islands; and Tuvalu.
