Stephen C. Meyer

Stephen C. Meyer (born 1958) is an American think tank executive officer and co-founder, along with Phillip E. Johnson and others, of the intelligent design movement. Meyer, along with Bruce Chapman and George Gilder, is a founder of the Discovery Institute (DI) and its Center for Science and Culture (CSC), which is the driving force behind the controversial concept of intelligent design. Formerly an academic philosopher of science, Meyer is currently vice president and senior fellow at the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture (CSC), and a director of Access Research Network.[1]

He is the author of several books and articles on the subject of intelligent design, including Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design[2] and Darwinism, Design, and Public Education [3]
