Soon Juan Chee

Soon Juan Chee "is Secretary General of the Singapore Democratic Party and director of the Open Singapore Centre, an NGO that promotes accountability in all sectors of Singaporean society. Imprisoned twice for championing democratic change, Dr. Chee continues to be a powerful voice of dissent in his country. He is the author of numerous books and articles, including Your Future, My Faith, Our Freedom: A Democratic Blueprint for Singapore (2001) and To Be Free: Stories From Asia's Struggle Against Oppression (1998). He is working on a book on civil resistance and political change in Singapore." [1]
