The Smith Broadcasting Group, commonly refrred to as Smith Broadcasting, was formed in 1985.
On its website the compant states that its found, "[[Robert N. Smith}} or Smith Broadcasting owns a controlling interest in KEYT-TV, Santa Barbara, CA; WFFF-TV, Burlington, VT; WETM-TV, Elmira, NY; WKTV-TV, Utica, NY; KIMO-TV, Anchorage, AK; KATN-TV, Fairbanks, AK; and KJUD-TV, Juneau, Alaska. Smith Broadcasting in March of 2002 also acquired the licenses of KVLY-TV, Fargo, North Dakota, and KFYR-TV and it's three satellites in the Bismarck, North Dakota market." [1]
