Skeptical Raptor
Skeptical Raptor is a website run by Micheal Simpson, a blog "all about chewing up bad science, anti-science, and pseudoscience." Simpson's background is in pharmaceutical research and development. UC Hastings Law Professor Dorit Reiss and administrator of We Love GMOs and Vaccines is a frequent contributor. [1] [2]
The blog lists logical fallacies, including the Precautionary Principle under this grouping. The Skeptical Raptor blog insists that, "Although the precautionary principle is not a formal logical fallacy, it is very dependent on the logical fallacy, the argument from ignorance, which asserts that a proposition is true because it has not yet been proven false." "If the precautionary principle were always applied to new technology, scientific achievement would constantly be blocked."[3]
