Sir Richard Dearlove KCMG, OBE "served as Chief (known as "C") of MI6, the British Secret Intelligent Service, from August 1999 until his retirement in July 2004. For the preceding five years, he was Director of Operations and before that served as Assistant Chief. His intelligence career spanned 38 years and included postings in Nairobi, Paris, Prague, Geneva, and Washington, as well as a number of high-level posts in London. Sir Richard is currently the Master of Pembroke College, Cambridge. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of AIG, Senior Adviser to the Monitor Group, and Chairman of Ascot Underwriting. He holds an MA from Queens College, Cambridge." [1]
