Shari Stier

Shari Stier, Pathfinder International’s Director of Human Resources, "has more than 12 years of experience in human resources (HR). As Director, she leads Pathfinder’s efforts to develop and support a range of US and international staff, as well as sets Pathfinder’s staff policies and procedures.

"Prior to coming to Pathfinder, Shari was Associate Director of Human Resources for the Education Development Center (EDC), an international non-profit educational research and development organization. At EDC, Shari led International HR efforts and managed a US-based international human resources team that supported 35 international projects in more than 30 countries. She consulted on a wide variety of HR issues including international project start-up and close-out, employee relations, policy development, country national and expatriate contracts, and local labor laws. She also conferred with and supported managers worldwide on matters related to organizational structure, role clarification, communications, training, and leadership.

"Shari holds an MSc in Human Resources and Organizational Development from American University/NTL Institute and currently serves as a board member for InsideNGO, an association of human resources, grants/contracts, and finance professionals dedicated to strengthening operational teams and fostering leadership in the international non-profit sector."
