Seymour D. Reich, "one of America's most prominent Jewish leaders, a fervent supporter of Middle East peace and a strong advocate of human rights causes, was recently elected president of Israel Policy Forum.

"A Senior Partner at the New York City law firm of Gallet, Dreyer & Berkey LLP, Mr. Reich had previously served on IPF’s Executive Board.

"Mr. Reich has held several of the highest positions in American Jewish life, including two terms as chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, the umbrella group representing 55 organizations, as president of B’nai Brith International, as president of the American Zionist Movement, representing more than one million American Jews, and as chairman of the International Jewish Committee on Interreligious Consultations. n the latter capacity he urged the Vatica to open its World War II archives and co-chaired a panel of scholars studying the role of the Vatican during the Holocaust.

"Mr. Reich resides in New York City with his wife, the former Cynthia Mandell. One of his three children lives in Tel Aviv, and one of her two children lives in Jerusalem." [1]
