On March 30, 2006, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Sempra Energy, the holding company for San Diego Gas & Electric, had canceled a proposed coal fired power station in southern Idaho as well as a 1200 megawatt plant proposed for Gerlach, Nevada. [1]
