Sea Org is the term for the upper echelon of the Church of Scientology. The basis for the Sea Org was the naval career of Scientology's founder, L. Ron Hubbard. It was first founded in 1967, aboard Hubbard's ship the Enchanter.
Sea Org is located mostly in Scientology's headquarters in Clearwater, FL, a location termed by the Church as Flag.[1]
