Biographical Information

"Samantha Campbell (President of The Campbell Foundation) grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and her first ties to the water were formed in nearby Ocean City during the summer. As a young girl, further explorations in travel to the Bahamas, Hawaii, the West Indies, Australia, the Florida Keys, and Central America solidified Samantha’s interest in the marine environment. Samantha attended Syracuse University and earned a BFA in Advertising Design. She has had several careers that link to her work in advertising, as a food stylist and voiceover actor. In October of 2003, Samantha was offered the opportunity to develop a West Coast portfolio for the Keith Campbell Foundation for the Environment, and in January of 2009, Samantha assumed the role of President of the Foundation, and is now responsible for grant oversight foundation-wide, as well as the core operational functions of the Foundation. Stimulating interest and involvement in ocean conservation and approaching problems with a practical and straightforward style are some of Samantha’s commitments to her work as a grantmaker."[1]
