Sam Roberts
" Sam's passion for wilderness has brought an intimacy with wild places that continues to be the foundation of his work. In 1990 he started Sam Roberts Photography, and has been shooting and writing about the natural world ever since. Recent assignments have given him the chance to work with biologists and land managers, and have proven to him again the powerful place photography has in the preservation of wildlands. Naturally, Sam is a wilderness advocate and is on the Board of Directors for the California Wilderness Coalition, an early member of One Percent for the Planet and served for several years on the board of directors for the Friends of Joshua Tree.
"Sam resides in the San Francisco Bay area town of Millbrae with his wife Karen Fisher, a biologist, kayaker and a fine photographer in her own right." [1]
