Biographical Information

"Prior to joining the EOA Sam managed the policy development and strategy functions of The Social Investment Business Group, the UKs largest social investor responsible for nearly half a billion pounds of investment into viable, non-bankable, projects and ventures managed and developed by social businesses, social enterprises, charities and community groups. She was also co-opted to the Board of London Funders, a pan-London group representing local authorities, Trusts, Foundations and other funders in the Greater London area. An ex journalist and political adviser, Sam has previously advised the Chair of the Human Rights Select Committee, and worked with a number of front bench politicians on policy and press campaigns. She has also worked as a senior civil servant in the Cabinet Office and Home Office, principally on network communication projects and on policies developing civil society infrastructure. In her current role Sam helps employee owned businesses raise awareness of their achievements and activities, and to increase awareness of the employee owned business model and the value it brings to UK Plc.
