Sam Battista, Ph.D. was a Senior Staff Pharmacologist with Arthur D. Little, Inc. at Acorn Park in Cambridge, Massachusetts 02140 and worked with palladium nitrate, the basis for Liggett & Myers' "Project XA" (safer) cigarette, also known as the palladium cigarette.
