S. Todd Crider
Todd Crider "is a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP where he is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department. He has advised clients in international corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions and project finance. Fluent in Spanish and French and proficient in Portuguese, he concentrates primarily on transactions in Spain and Latin America.
"In corporate finance, he has participated in leading transactions in Europe and Latin America, including representing Telefonica Moviles in its Euro 3.3 billion initial public offering, the largest in Spanish history. In investment banking, he has handled matters for Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, Salomon Smith Barney and Santander Securities, among others. In project finance, he has represented GE Capital in hydro-electric projects in Central America. In M&A, he has handled matters for Telefonica Moviles in the $1.8 billion acquisition of Motorola's mobile telephone companies in Mexico. He has also participated in successful debt restructurings for Telex-Chile (currently Chilesat Corp.) and Coto CICSA, among others.
"Mr. Crider received his B.A. magna cum laude in 1987 from Samford University, his License d'histoire in 1988 from the University of Paris IV, Sorbonne, and his J.D. in 1991 from Columbia University School of Law. He is an active member of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, where he is Chairman of the Committee for the Cyrus R. Vance Center of International Justice Initiatives." [1]
