Fegtly Professor of Law at the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, where he teaches courses in consitutional law, international human rights, international law, and Native American Law."" 
In March 2008, the U.N. Human Rights Council appointed Professor S. James Anaya as the U.N. Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of Indigenous Peoples.
