Roy Vagelos

P. Roy Vagelos, MD, has been Chairman of the Board of Regeneron "since January 1995. Prior to joining Regeneron, Dr. Vagelos was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Merck & Co., Inc. He joined Merck in 1975, became a director in 1984, President and Chief Executive Officer in 1985 and Chairman in 1986. Dr. Vagelos retired from all positions with Merck in 1994. Dr. Vagelos was on the Board of Directors of Theravance, Inc. through April 2010."
