The Honorable Roy M. Goodman is "President and CEO of the United Nations Development Corporation, Roy Goodman previously served as State Senator for the 26th District on Manhattan's East Side for 33 years. During his tenure, he sponsored over 1,200 bills that became law and supported women's reproductive rights, gun control laws, affordable housing, school construction, arts programs, and lower taxes. Goodman served in many capacities in the legislature, including as Deputy Majority Leader for Policy; Chairman of the Committee on Investigations, Taxation, and Government Operations; Chairman of the Committee on Housing and Urban Development; Chairman of the Legislative Committee on Public/Private Cooperation; Chairman of the New York State Charter Revision Commission for New York City; Chairman of the Special Committee on the Arts and Cultural Affairs; and Chairman of the Special Committee on Anti-terrorism. In addition, he was New York City Finance Commissioner, Treasurer, and a member of the Mayor's Super Cabinet from 1966 to 1968. Goodman, a former U.S. Navy officer, is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration." [1]
