Roxanne Hanson, Associate Director, The NonprofitCenters Network.

"As Associate Director of The NonprofitCenters Network, Roxanne manages NCN&rsqup;s membership and educational programs, conducts outreach, and organizes the Collaborating for Success conference. Prior to joining NCN, Roxanne spent twelve years working in the national and international nonprofit community based in Washington, DC. She served as National Delegations Organizer and later Development Manager for Witness for Peace, an organization working to change unjust U.S. policies toward Latin America. Before that, she spent three years supporting volunteer management professionals nationally as Training and Consulting Manager for Points of Light Foundation. Her love of volunteer management began with her work in the Volunteer Resources department of Whitman-Walker Clinic, the city&rsqup;s largest HIV/AIDS service provider and gay and lesbian health clinic. She was an active member of community arts organizations, serving on the Board of Directors of the Takoma Theatre Arts Project and performing with the Southern Maryland Modern Dance Collective. She is a graduate of Houston&rsqup;s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and holds a B.A. in International Studies from American University. She is currently a contributing writer to Volunteer Today and serves on the fundraising committee of the U.S.-El Salvador solidarity organization Voices on the Border." [1]
