Roger F. Pasquier "chaired Rare’s board from 1992 until 2000. He first joined the board in 1986. A lifelong birder and conservationist, Roger is Director of Foundations at the National Audubon Society. He previously worked at Environmental Defense Fund, the World Wildlife Fund-U.S., and the International Council for Bird Preservation. Founder and former president of the Friends of the Peruvian Rainforest, Roger led efforts to help local organizations secure land titles and other protections for millions of acres of Amazon rainforest. Roger has served as a Board member of the World Parks Endowment, and has written several books on birds. " [1]
