Robert Scheer
Robert Scheer, is the editor-in-chief of Truthdig,[1] The Huffington Post[2] and The Nation[3] contributor and host of the Scheer Intelligence broadcast at NPR member station KCRW.[4] He is also the author of several books, most recently They Know Everything About You: How Data-Collecting Corporations and Snooping Government Agencies Are Destroying Democracy.[5] He is currently Clinical Professor of Communication at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.[6]

News and Controversy
In January 2019, a documentary called Robert Scheer: Above the Fold was released, which chronicled Scheer's career of "muckraking journalism".[7][8]
In November 1976, Sheer interviewed then-President Jimmy Carter, who said "I’ve looked on a lot of women with lust. I’ve committed adultery in my heart many times.",[9] which would make it to Time's list of "Top 10 Unfortunate Political One-Liners".[10]

Career
In 2005, Scheer co-founded Truthdig, where he is currently editor-in-chief.[11]
In 1993 he launched a nationally syndicated column based at the Los Angeles Times, where he was named a contributing editor.[1] Scheer was later fired in November 2005.[12]
From 1976 to 1993 he served as a national correspondent for the Los Angeles Times, writing on diverse topics such as the Soviet Union, arms control, national politics and the military.[1]
Between 1964 and 1969 Scheer was the Vietnam correspondent, managing editor and editor in chief of Ramparts Magazine, a Berkeley-based leftist publication which featured writers such as Susan Sontag, Seymour Hersh, Angela Davis, Noam Chomsky and Christopher Hitchens.[1][13]
Scheer has interviewed every president from Richard Nixon through Bill Clinton, as described in his book Playing President: My Close Ecounters with Nixon, Carter, Bush I, Reagan, and Clinton--and How They Did Not Prepare Me for George W. Bush.[14]
