Biographical Details
"Robert L. Friedman has served as a director since AXIS’ inception. Since 1999, Mr. Friedman has been a Senior Managing Director of The Blackstone Group, L.P., and since February 2003 he has also been the firm's Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Legal Officer. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Friedman was a partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett for 25 years, where he served as a senior member of that law firm's mergers and acquisitions practice. He currently serves as a director of Houghton Mifflin Holdings Inc., Northwest Airlines, Inc., Premcor Inc. and TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. " [1]
