Sir Robert J. Peto (nicotine addiciton researcher): Plaintiff
Biography
Peto was a Research Scientist re: nicotine addiction in 1974. M.A.H. Russell, J. Peto and U.A. Patel, published The Classification of Smoking by Factorial Structure of Motives, J.R. Statist. Soc. A., 1974.137,313. Russell et al. concluded, on the motives for smoking, that it would be more useful to classify smokers according to their position on a single dimension of pharmacological addiction rather than in terms of their profiles on the six types of smoking. This conclusion was cited by British American Tobacco researcher in Project Wheat (PROJECT WHEAT 2 P. 49).
