Richard Wong
Yue-chim Richard Wong was appointed Director of the School of Business at The University of Hong Kong in 1997.
Dr. Wong is a leading figure in economic research on policy issues in Hong Kong through his work as founding Director (1987-) of the Hong Kong Centre for Economic Research. The work of the Centre was honoured in 1992 as a recipient of the Sir Antony Fisher International Memorial Award.
He is also founding Director (1997-) of the Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Study Centre at The University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Wong was Visiting Scholar at the National Opinion Research Center, University of Chicago in 1985 and at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University in 1989. His professional services include, associate editor of the Asian Economic Journal (1991-), secretary general of the East Asian Economic Association (1991-1996), co-editor of the Journal of Economic Methodology (1994), and member of the International Board of Editors of the Pacific Economic Review (1995-). He is a Vice-President of the Mont Pelerin Society. [1]
