Richard R. Erkeneff
Richard R. Erkeneff "has served as a director of Global Crossing since December 2003. He was, from October 1995 until August 2003, president and chief executive officer of United Industrial Corporation ("UIC"), a company focused on the design and production of defense, training, transportation and energy systems. Mr. Erkeneff also served as a director of UIC from October 1995 to May 2005. In addition, Mr. Erkeneff was chief executive officer of AAI Corporation ("AAI"), a wholly owned subsidiary of UIC responsible for the design, manufacture, testing and support of advanced Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, from November 1993 until August 2003, and president of AAI from November 1993 to January 2003. Prior to joining AAI, Mr. Erkeneff held positions as senior vice president of the Aerospace Group at McDonnell Douglas Corporation, and president and executive vice president of McDonnell Douglas Electronics Systems Company. Mr. Erkeneff continues to serve as a consultant to UIC's board of directors." [1]
