Koch Funding
Muller was just one of many climate skeptics that was funded by billionaire Charles G. Koch, who with his brother David Koch, own the country's largest, privately-held energy company, Koch Industries. Koch Industries produces significant greenhouse gases and fights efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the U.S. Koch Industries has long worked to undermine environmental protections and protect corporate polluters. [1]
Koch and ALEC
Koch Industries is also a long-time member and funder of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).
About ALEC |
---|
ALEC is a corporate bill mill. It is not just a lobby or a front group; it is much more powerful than that. Through ALEC, corporations hand state legislators their wishlists to benefit their bottom line. Corporations fund almost all of ALEC's operations. They pay for a seat on ALEC task forces where corporate lobbyists and special interest reps vote with elected officials to approve “model” bills. China Shale Fund
In 2013 Muller wrote the article, "Why every serious environmentalist should favour fracking," with daughter Elizabeth Muller. Both are on the board of the China Shale Fund, which "brings the best shale gas early stage explorers from the US to China — to prove that shale gas can indeed be profitable and viable in China."[2]
