Biography

"Richard joined us in July 2013 from Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Foundation Trust, where he was Chief Operating Officer. He led on work to improve their emergency care and elective access performance, whilst also contributed to reductions in mortality and pressure ulcers through pathway redesign and a focus on ‘zero harm’.

"Richard started his NHS career on the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme and joined Guys and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust as a Service Manager before moving into other roles at the Trust. He has also worked as Head of Operations at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, supporting major gains in productivity and quality across their specialist services portfolio. Richard has an exemplary record in managing complex health services and has spent the majority of his career working in large tertiary Trusts."
