Biographical Information
"Richard joined Capita Symonds as Executive Director: Central Government in February 2012; he works across Capita Symonds and Capita plc with a focus on developing services to the public sector.
"Prior to this Richard was the Director General, Neighbourhoods (and former DG for Housing and Planning) at the Department for Communities and Local Government. He was the Department’s lead official for housing, planning, regeneration, local economies, climate change, building standards and the European Regional Development Fund. Richard was also the Chief Executive of the Peabody Trust from 1999-2003, a major housing association and regeneration agency that operates across London, and also held senior positions at the Horizon Housing Group (formerly the South London Family Housing Association Group) and the Hyde Housing Association.
"Richard was the Chair of the National Housing Federation from 2000-2003 and is past member of the JRF Housing and Neighbourhoods Committee. He received a CBE in the 2009 New Years Honours for his services to housing and planning."[1]
