Biographical Information
"Richard Avery-Wright is a graduate of Cardiff Business School in Business Administration. Richard commenced his career in the City of London in 1985. For the past 27 years, Richard has worked in the finance industry, establishing a number of successful businesses in the broking, asset management, technology and proprietary trading environments.
"In 2001, Richard joined GNI Limited (part of Old Mutual plc) to head up one of their derivative broking divisions. In 2003, following the takeover of GNI Limited by Man Group plc, Richard moved to Sydney, Australia to establish and head up the equity derivatives business on behalf of Man Financial (Australia) Limited, a division of Man Group plc.
"In 2007, Richard co-founded Pie Funds Management Limited (with Mike Taylor), a boutique small-cap manager, based in New Zealand. Richard continues to be a non executive director and shareholder in Pie Funds Management. In 2012, Richard moved to Guernsey and co-founded RAW Capital Partners Limited with Dr Dennis Stoller."[1]
